Imus: CBS Bosses Money-Grubbing Jews
Hot on the heels of Mel Gibson and Michael Richards, radio personality Don Imus let loose with his own barrage of antisemitic vitriol on the November 30 broadcast of his “Imus in the Morning” show.
That morning, the program, which is produced in New York by WFAN and simulcast on MSNBC, was going to host a group of gospel singers known as the Blind Boys of Alabama. In anticipation of their appearance, Imus recalled reservations voiced by station supervisors prior to an earlier appearance by the group.
“I remember when I first had ’em on a few years ago,” Imus said. “The Jewish management at, whoever we work for, CBS, were bitchin’ at me about it.” WFAN is a subsidiary of WCBS radio.
“We had a meeting in my office,” Imus continued. “They were furious, but of course I don’t care what they say and never have.”
At this point, the show’s executive producer, Bernard McGuirk, a regular on-air presence, said of the Blind Boys, “Even if you wear a beanie, how can you not love these guys?”
“I tried to put it in terms that these money-grubbing bastards could understand,” Imus replied. “I said: ‘They’re handicapped, they’re black and they’re blind. How do we lose here?’ And then a light bulb went off over their scummy little heads.”
Imus co-host Larry Kenney, an impressionist who appeared earlier in the program as the Rev. Jerry Falwell, then said: “They probably were trying to push a more Semitic group on you. I don’t know, maybe the Paralyzed Putzes of Poland, or something like that.”
“You can’t believe what goes on behind the scenes, at least with me with these people,” Imus said. “And fortunately, I don’t care.”

Imus said a stupid unkind thing. Punish him, let him do penance and then put him back on the air. My money is on Imus to turn and make a crusade against racism and sexism (although what he said wassexist--He would never have said anything that bad about black men Look at his other crusades, veterans' benefits, autism, his ranch for kids. He could do an awful lot of good. And he makes me laugh. Usually.
Imus is getting screwed. Read Click here: AOL's Jason Whitlock- Time for Jackson, Sharpton to Step Down - AOL Sports
FOR YEARS I HAVE BEEN WRITING ABOUT DON IMUS AND HIS HORRIBLE ANTI SEMITIC REMARKS------BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE...........IT FINALY TOOK THE BLACK COMMUNITY TO GET HIM OFF THE AIR..........WHEN HE HAD JOE LIEBERMAN ON THE SHOW........AS SOON AS HE LEFT THE AIR, ANTI SEMITIC REMARKS WOULD START...........I WROTE TO THE ADL, BUT NOTHING WAS DONE..........I HOPE THAT HE NEVER COMES BACK ON THE AIR ,BUT I AM AFAID HE WILL FIND SOME ONE ELSE TO PICK UP HIS SHOW.......UNFORTUNATELY HE HAS AN AUDIENCE FOR THESE TYPE OF COMMENTS .........!!!!!SOMTHING MUST BE DONE TO STOP THIS POISON OVER OUR AIRWAYS............!!!!THE AMERICAN PUBLIC AND CBS AND NBC SHOULD BE ASHAMED THAT THEY ALLOWED THIS TO CONTINUE.............!!!!
CBS bosses aren't money-grubbing Jews. CBS bosses are money-grubbing dinosaurs who don't know that much of their medium is doomed (and a lot of them are Jews)
This schmuck is going to get what he deserves. I hope the network stations will bar him PERMANTLY!
They should have hit the idiot in the pocketbook...sue him for defemation of character. Both stations fired him, but this stuff has to stop!
What MSNBC and CBS has done to Don Imus is disgraceful. This good man - who raises millions for charities et. al. has been betrayed - for what? His employers have shown themselves to have no backbone, no courage or honor. Almost everyone I personally talk to feels the same way. I feel that MSNBC and CBS represent a new and dangerous kind of America - they have lost touch with the true values of this society and to have the likes of Sharpton or Jackson dictate the direction of appropriate discourse is ludicrous. Don Imus has done more to help people worldwide than 1000 Sharptons or Jacksons - they are nothing more than self promoting charlitains and frauds. I also can not believe the piling on of the 'so called' friends of Don Imus. They ought to be ashamed.
nothing wrong with that. i hear worse every day on tv ever watch
south park or other shoes like that.
It is not really what Imus said... that may be bad enough, but it is what's in his heart that stinks. He is an old craggy has-been that should be off the air. If he has charities that he supports fine let him do some good, but being on the air is not something he should be doing. Let him join the other dinosaurs that have out lived their time!
"Paralyzed Putzes of Poland".....BWAHAHAHAHA!
I am a hypocrite. I have enjoyed his show which I have watched maybe 20 times. I thought this was an overreaction, i wouldnt have used those words, I had never heard antisemitic remarks and now reading this I am again examining my thoughts on the man. It reminds me of when I lived in the south and how everyone wanted to fly the rebel flag because it was historical. I used to tell them well the nazi flag is historical too I guess. So again, we learn to walk in other's shoes and we are humnbled.
don imus got what he deserved. his remarks were outrageous. that some people don't recognize this is emblematic of the condition of this country. racial, ethnic and religious stereotyping should not be tolerated in America. it's truly a pity that a man like Imus can be so popular. It's an even greater pity that CBS and NBC supported him for as long as they did. it's just another example of the crass misanthropic money-.grubbing that corporations are all to easily capable of
The man is a THOUGHTLESS,HATEFUL MAN!!!!!!!! He is entitled to his feelings, but NOT on public airwaves
126 of the Forbes 400 are Jews - that's 32%; yet Jews are only 2% of the society. Sounds like a lot of people - especially Blacks - have been swindled!
People love to blow things out of proportion and to feel victimized so as to gain a moral upper hand and so-called free pass.
A lot of people made a lot of geld off him over the years...why is it just now that they "notice"?
I don't get it... what specifically is the insult that everybody is so upset over? Or is this not the whole article? I feel like the outsider after hearing an inside joke - do I laugh yet?
allah u akbar . . . amen.
oh snap, I forgot this site is owned by umm . . . hypocrites
Imus is jewish

My true feelings? Don Imus should be crucified. -If the blacks want to be the agents of his martyrdom, so much the better for us. -It's a shame that the ADL is so busy supporting the Zionist project that it's unable to make even the slightest bit of noise about such a venomous and vituperative, not to say typical, example of anti-Semitism. I'm reminded of the protagonist of Potok's *My Name Is Asher Lev,* in which the father is so busy promoting Ahavas Yisroel abroad that he's not able to recognize the neglect of his own son, and of his potential. Sorry to say, this is a tension endemic to Judaism, and it's not going to go away.
