Generation Exodus: The Fate of Young Jewish Refugees from Nazi Germany (Correction)
In the January 23 review of Walter Laqueur’s new book, “Generation Exodus: The Fate of Young Jewish Refugees from Nazi Germany,” the reviewer mistakenly identified Silesia. It is a region that Germany lost to Poland after the war.
Due to an editing error, Rabbi Ismar Schorsch was misquouted in the February 13 story “JTS Chief Opposes Policy Change.” He should have been quoted as saying that an endorsement of same-sex commitment would mean that “there is very little to prevent [Conservative rabbis] from officiating at [interfaith] marriages or accepting the patrilineal principle.”
Arlen Specter was incorrectly identified as the Senate’s only Jewish Republican in the February 13 story “In Turmoil, Iran Snubs A Gesture By Specter.” Norm Coleman of Minnesota is also Jewish.
