Now, Leah Kauffman, who wrote the lyrics and sang on the Obama and Box videos, has moved in front of the camera to battle conservative flamethrower Ann Coulter’s recent assertion that Jews should perfect themselves by becoming Christians.
In “Perfected,” a video released last week on the Web site YouTube, Kauffman responds to Coulter’s recent comments the only way she knows how — with humor.
“Instead of responding with anger,” the Temple University senior told JTA, “I responded with satire.”
The video, produced by the Web site BarelyPolitical.com, had been viewed more than 280,000 times as of Tuesday morning, only five days after it was first posted. In the video, Kauffman mocks the right-wing firebrand by pretending to want to be just like her: a liberal-baiting purveyor of hate.
“When I was growing up, I was very insecure,” Kaufman croons in the video’s opening lines. “Didn’t know where I fit into this world. As I grew older, I found my place, and finally my nose grew into my face. Then I saw Ann Coulter on the TV screen, and she said, ‘If you want to be perfect, you should be just like me.’
“I know I’m just a Jew, but we could be best friends forever. Wanna come over later and watch ‘Seinfeld’ together? You could teach me to hate liberals, The New York Times and what they say. We could crank-call John Edwards and tell him he’s gay. I would do anything to be just like you. FedEx me to heaven like a perfected Jew.”
Although Kauffman’s humorous videos have been successful on the Internet, she has other musical aspirations. On Friday night, she will premiere selections from her yet-to-be-released CD, “Modern Monster,” at a club in Philadelphia.
Reviews of the CD aren’t available yet, but Kaufmann has received plenty of feedback about the Coulter song. Most of the comments have been positive, she says, but one piece of hate mail sticks out in her mind.
“I guess the best one was this guy on MySpace,” she said. “He sent me a picture of him, like, holding a rifle. He said: ‘Yeah, I’m from Arkansas. You better watch out. You should love Ann Coulter.’”

Ann is cool and so are you, We Christians don't think we are better, just saved. The Bible is clear on how we should treat his people the Jews, Don't mess with them if you know whats good for you. We pray you will be saved too! That's all she was saying.
Speaking as a man with an ethnically-Jewish mother whose family had converted to Roman Catholicism, and an ethnically-Serbian father, who had been Serbian Orthodox but converted to Roman Catholicism at his age of 17, I think Leah Kauffman and Ann Coulter are BOTH racist and USA-centric. While the majority of both US and world-wide Protestants are of the white Anglo-Saxon-Aryan complexion, the majority of worlds Catholics are NOT of the white race. The majority of 27-Rites loyal to the Vatican; and the many Eastern Orthodox loyal to Constantinople/ Istanbul; and the 3 Sacramental Oriental Churches neither loyal to Rome nor to the Orthodox, are of mestizo-Native-American/Hispanic; Black African and African-American; Near Eastern (yes, darker and even more hawk-nosed than the Sephardim!); Hindic; East Asian; and Polynesian complexions and features.
Sacramental, non-Protestant Christians number over 2 billion, while Protestant Christians number some 500 million. While the latter generally believe that ONLY those who "believe in Y'shua" can and WILL automatically go to heaven by taking certain passages of the Christian Scriptures totally out of context, the Sacramental Churches DO NOT require conversion to Christianity to be saved. Indeed, the Catholic Church says only that the fullness of the means of salvation is in and through the "seven sacraments" of the various sacramental (Catholic; Orthodox; Oriental) churches, but that anyone who strives to do right may be saved, no matter of what religion or even of no religion. Ann's comment referred to theology and was not an attack on Jews. She did however use the wrong terminology. She should have said "completed" Jew. Christians believe that the New Testament completes the Old Testament and a Jew would be completed and go to heaven if they accept the New Testament and Christ as their savior. Ann is no anti-Semite. She was stating Christian theology. This is what Christians believe. Why do liberals act so shocked and offended by Christians who actually believe that Christianity is true? Yes they believe the world would be better if more people were Christian. This is not a news flash, nothing new. Big deal. Don't liberals believe that the world would be better if more people were (G-d forbid) liberal? The reason so many Jews are intimidated by this is because they don't really believe in Judaism. People secure in their religious beliefs are unaffected by a Christian stating Christian theology. The anger at Ann has more to do with the fact that she criticizes liberals on a regular basis. And they deserve the criticism. Liberals love to malign the flag, ban the Pledge, ban the Ten Commandments, suck up to tyrannical dictators and anyone who hates America, promote the moral decay of our country, sexualize our children, promote the unrestricted murder of babies, etc.... Liberals attack America on a regular basis and then throw a fit when someone criticizes them. It would be refreshing if liberals would hate Islamo fascists more than they hate conservatives. The only thing worse then liberal foolishness is their arrogance and denial.
