Organized by musician Yale Strom, the “Great Day on Eldridge Street” photo shoot was timed to coincide with the shul’s 120th anniversary.
Award-winning radio reporter and Forward contributor Jon Kalish filed a podcast for us from the celebration:

I attended this shul in the 1930s w/ my late father. We usually walked home afterwards w/ Rav Edelson who lived in our building. He would quiz me on parashat hashavua. The magnificence of the interior of the shul has remained a mental image to this day.
Yale and Elizabeth, You make history, you live it, and you preserve it! We wish we could have been there! All the best! Maria and Martin Basch
Jon: enjoyed your piece.
